New Way to Absorb Oil in Gulf

A phone call from the past

An old army friend of mine phoned up & said "if your passports current & your free I need u in the US on Monday" (it was Wednesday) It seamed that some of my old military skills were finally of use to someone else and I needed to help put and be a part of put a 'team' . I phoned my old OC (officer Commanding) and he was well up for it as he was just retiring. We were loosely told what our task was and a small team of 'experts' were assembled. What went on during that week with some amazingly high powered meetings 'O' groups rethinks and re-tasking is far to long winded to write but suffice it to say a final job description was agreed and a GTG (good to go) date finalized. Our brief was simple. 'The Brits are coming & we are gonna save the gulf from the oil'.
What do I know about oil you might ask? well - nothing. But what we do know is logistics. How to get the right thing at the right place at the right time.
